I've been having the same issue since Public Beta 1, I reported it then hoping apple would fix it.
Reverted back to iOS 26 and the phone was completely fine, fast forward to iOS 27 Stable Release, updated and the same thing is still happening. Phone is completely cool to the touch, shows this warning constantly throughout the day at random intervals and makes the phone completely unusable.

Not every issue an individual encounters on their device can be attributed to an iOS update. If the update itself were the root cause, then every device running that same version of iOS would exhibit the identical problem. In such a scenario, the forums would be flooded with countless posts reporting the same malfunction, creating an unmistakable wave of complaints that no one could possibly overlook. The absence of such widespread reports strongly indicates that the issue is not systemic, but rather specific to the device in question.

My experience says this is purely caused by some third-party app that you may have installed.
I am not aware of the ambient temperature in which you are using the iPhone. However --> Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable ...
Store the device where the temperature is between -20º and 45º C (-4º to 113º F). Don’t leave the device in your car, because temperatures in parked cars can exceed this range.
Use iOS devices where the ambient temperature is between 0º and 35º C (32º to 95º F). Low- or high-temperature conditions might cause the device to change its behavior to regulate its temperature. Using an iOS device in very cold conditions outside of its operating range might temporarily shorten battery life and could cause the device to turn off. Battery life will return to normal when you bring the device back to higher ambient temperatures. Using an iOS device in very hot conditions can permanently shorten battery life.
I'm having the same issues, my phone worked perfect until the update, I've done every tip and trick to resolve the issue. It must be the update because before the update I never had this problem. Even when my phone does feel a bit warm I don't get a warning, but just normal use I get a warning. I can just be sending a message on whatsapp and the warning pops up. I'll have no case on my phone, it won't be charging all other apps shut down. The only difference on my phone is the ios update.
Happened to me as well soon after updating to ios 27. It’s a false temperature warning and the phone physically is at normal temperature. I tried resetting the phone settings, tried connecting to iphone remote support, turned off background app refresh. nothing is working. What if i try a beta version i.e. ios 27.2 beta?
My ambient temperature where my phone is been used is 22 degree celcius and before IOS 27 update my phone was running properly fine including there is no third party apps in my phone only authorised apps that i download from App Store now tell me it’s update problem or my phone have some internal issue
I’m having the same issue too, iPhone 15 pro max. I am contemplating reverting back to iOS 26 because I can’t continue with this temperature warning issue. It’s really frustrating. How do I revert back to iOS 26 and would I lose all my data stored on the phone.
This solution isn’t working at all. You are not paying attention to the iPhone series that’s been complained about. It’s iPhone 14 and 15 series. Why was I not having issues with iOS 26 until I updated to iOS 27?
Don’t know about this
Having exactly the same issue with my iPhone 15 pro max and if anyone have reverted back to ios 26 please tell if this resolves your issue.
thanks
