Magic Mouse issue with 27.0 updated

When I update my macros to 27.0 golden gate I have an issue with my magic mouse It is not working, even though the Bluetooth connection is fine and I have verified that the mouse itself is functional; the update is what caused this issue.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 27.0

Hi there

Please try this to see if you can fix the issue

Update or Disable Macro Tools

  • If you use Mac Mouse Fix or a similar third-party macro/gesture app, check for the latest developer "master" or beta build that addresses macOS 27 gesture handling.
  • Temporarily quit or uninstall the macro application completely, then restart your Mac to see if the Magic Mouse starts responding normally.

2. Check and Update Mouse Firmware

  • Connect your Magic Mouse to your Mac using its Lightning/USB-C cable.
  • Make sure your Mac has Install system data and security updates enabled under System Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Leave the mouse connected and switched on overnight while the Mac is awake so the accessory firmware can update past version 1.9.2.

3. Forget and Re-Pair the Mouse

  • Go to System Settings > Bluetooth.
  • Click the Info (i) button next to your Magic Mouse and select Forget This Device.
  • Turn the physical power switch on the bottom of the mouse off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on.
  • Reconnect the mouse directly with the charging/pairing cable for about a minute before disconnecting it to test wirelessly.
