MacBook Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max 160 MHz Wi-Fi compatibility issue

If those are the only available channels on your router at that setting, it is not possible to achieve 160 MHz even if your MBPro & iPhone 16 are capable. The limiting factor in this case is the router setting.

Ch. 149-177 are at least theoretically available in BD. If they are not showing in your router settings, check your router admin pages (5GHz channel width or channel bandwidth setting) to see if there is a toggle for 160MHz capability on/off. If enabled you may be able to use ch 50 for 160Mhz ... but even if/when enabled there are remaining limitations in the 36-64 channel range due to DFS limitations. Even ch. 163 (bonded 149-177) has limitations on ch 177 so 160 MHz may not actually be possible there.

You cannot use 160 MHz Wi-Fi on channels 36–48 because a 160 MHz channel requires eight contiguous 20 MHz channels (spanning channels 36–64, which include DFS channels), and your router's regional setting is restricting you to a 4-channel block (80 MHz maximum).

Check to see if you can get 80 MHz working reliably. If yes, 1) check your router's channel width setting - does it support 160MHz, 2) check your router's firmware version & contact Totolink support ... it may need an updated firmware for BD regulatory compliance.
