iPhone 18 pro max temperature problem

Have you tried to force restart it to see if the issues persist?

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the side button.
4. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

Streaming music, taking photos/videos, gaming, surfing the internet, all push the battery harder on a cell phone. And when you push a battery, it generates heat in a normal process called Thermodynamic Exchange. If you're not seeing a red thermometer on your iPhone screen, telling you the phone can't be used until it cools, you're just seeing what would be expecting when you stream music from YouTube. Whether you're using Wifi and how strong the Wifi connection is or Cellular and how strong the Cellular connection is can have a dramatic affect on how hard the battery has to work to do the task at hand.

*Exactly* the same issue here too: iOS 27.0.1 on an 18 Pro. Apple Music app playing over Bluetooth (different devices tested) causes immediate thermal spike and rapid battery drain. Persistent after a full reboot too. Makes playing music a no-go.

iPhone 18 pro here, same issue. I use Apple Music with AirPods almost everyday, often multiple times, and it has only happened twice now in two weeks. Somewhat rare I guess, but still concerning.
