HomePod no longer turns off iPhone alarm after IOS27

Since IOS27/iPadOS27 i can no longer get my HomePods to turn off my iPhone alarm when asking “hi Siri, turn off my iPhone alarm”. Before update 27, Siri would ask, if I want to turn off xxx iPhone alarm. I would then say yes and the alarm would stop. After update 27, Siri on HomePod just says there are no alarms when I ask to turn off iPhone alarm.
