I recently switched to a new iphone. Safari keeps refreshing while I am watching a movie or reading . It has never happened on my previous iphone. I have cleared my history website data and everything else but it is still a problem. Are others having this issue too?
Safari shouldn’t normally refresh a page every 10 minutes.
I’d first check whether it happens on several unrelated websites or only the site where you’re watching the movie. If it happens everywhere, go to Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions and temporarily turn off any extensions or content blockers, then test again. Those settings may have carried over when you set up the new iPhone.
Since you’ve already cleared the website data, I wouldn’t keep doing that. Also make sure the new iPhone is running the latest iOS 27 update available.
