I have a 2017 13 inch MacBook Pro which is running on Ventura 13.7.8. I had Microsoft 365 apps running Word, Excel etc which have just stopped updating and will no longer save changes to documents. The AI help told me to delete and reinstall the apps, but now I can't reinstall as it needs OS 14 or later. I know I can't update to a later OS as my Mac no longer supports them. Is there anything I can do?

It sounds like Microsoft may be blocking you from doing a "clean" reinstall.

If you have a Time Machine backup, or a clone backup that predates the "uninstall", you could try to roll your Mac (or at least, files associated with the 365 installation) back to the way it looked before the "uninstall".

P.S. – Now that macOS 27 (Golden Gate) is out, it probably won't be too long before Microsoft raises the minimum version of macOS they will accept from Sonoma to Sequoia.
