Motion watch face (Butterflies) missing from Watch app on iPhone

Motion watch face if butterflies is missing from IPhone watch app but shows on ultra 4 watch. Both have been updated to OS 27. Any suggestions?

The Motion face with Butterflies is still supported in watchOS 27, so it shouldn’t have been removed. Apple lists Butterflies, Flowers and Jellyfish as the Motion face options.

Try opening the Watch app -> Face Gallery -> Motion and scroll through the available options. If Motion is missing entirely on the iPhone but is still on the Watch, try restarting both devices and then unpairing/re-pairing only if necessary.

Still shows for me. In fact it is one of the specific examples under Motion ( iPhone 16 running iOS 27.0; in the Watch app Face Gallery, All Watch Faces, Motion). If your watch is running that face, and is paired to the phone, you should should it in My Faces as well. Is it actually working on the phone?

Thanks but it does not show under motion in the face library. Very unusual. All other motion options are there. But as I said it still shows on my watch. It disappeared after updating to OS 27 on the phone. Apple Store genius said the problem was that the watch OS on my Ultra 1 was not completely compatible with OS 27. I did just buy a new Ultra 4 and expected that would solve the issue with OS 27 on the watch as the genius said…..but it did not fix it. By the way I didn’t buy the Ultra 4 to fix this minor issue! I wanted the increased resolution, improved battery life, better sensors etc. I am very happy with the Ultra 4 but the butterflies motion watch face is still missing. Any other ideas? Can I try deleting the watch app on my phone then reinstall it without losing my settings snd data? Maybe that would fix the problem?

Thanks but didn’t work. Very odd issue. Phone was paired with watch yesterday.
