iphone 18 pro overheating when charging
if i use my case it willl over heat and wont charge
in the old time i had a blackberry i never had to use a case and i never had any issues charging the phone
am i missing something here?
i have my GPS garmin on my dashboard under the sun 120f and it never stops working even here in phoenix arizona

No. What you're seeing is NOT overheating. What you're seeing is completely normal and what all of the new iPhones from iPhone 17 models do when you use a fast charger, which is anything from 20w or higher. The phone will rapidly charge to the 80% range and then pause charging to ensure the battery does NOT overheat.
I'm sorry it's concerned you, but there is absolutely nothing wrong and your phone is charging as it was designed to charge.

Of course you're running iOS 27. Your phone came with it. That's not the issue. And even if your phone paused charging at a lower percent, it's still NOT overheating. If you don't want this to happen, use a charging brick which is lower wattage. Fast charging a battery generates heats naturally. You can slow charge your battery at say 15w and it won't generate as much heat.
There is NOTHING wrong with your phone.
