In the IOS 27 update for my iPad, the favorites that I had above the tabs in Safari are gone and have been replaced with some random web pages that I had visited but weren’t what was there before the update. These were my basic go-to web sites. Any ideas where they went or how to restore the old ones?

fixed it on my own. The IOS 27 update reordered my favorites. I needed to open the list separately and then edit and drag to reorder them so that my true favorites moved back to the top of the list. There are items in the favorites that are really bookmarks but ended up in favorites. Those are the ones that ended up being at the top of the list and, therefore, showing up above the tabs in Safari.
