Recording Scuba Diving as type of exercise on Apple Watch

Has anybody been able to add scuba diving to their Apple Watch fitness type? Just got back from a dive vacation and meet another diver whom told me he was on another boat and a diver there, had recorded her dive activity on her watch. He had thought it was an Apple Watch? One of the reasons my husband said he purchased this model due to the ability to dive at depth. I did not bring the watch on this trip but was excited to come home and try that feature on next trip, but can’t find how to add that type of activity onto the watch so I can record heart, distance and calories etc etc. Only swimming was the closest water sport.

Thanks for your response. I have a Shearwater and do have the app that logs all my dives it’s like my log book on the go it’s great. What I was looking for is adding the activity of scuba diving to my Apple Watch so it can track different things like it does when I go for a run or bike ride or any of the other exercises I do. I’m beginning to think that the watch my other dive buddy was referring to, that tracks the information that I was hoping for, is another manufacturer maybe a garmin. It would be great if Apple can do an update and allow other exercises like scuba diving that can be manually added to the Apple Watch. Thank you 😊
