Does the Series 12 Apple Watch have the handwashing feature?

i’ve noticed the past couple days my new s12 watch doesn’t have the handwashing timer like the older models, i was wondering if this was a hardware thing or if it potentially would be added in the future

I believe that the new models (Series 12 and Ultra 4) do not have the handwashing timer/feature. There have been some speculations as to why it was discontinued: perhaps that feature was not popular or used much; and others thought maybe it conflicted with newer AI listening features.
