I bought a brand new iPhone 17 Pro, Cosmic Orange, from the US via my known source. I haven't bought the adapter rather, I chose to use my MacBook Air's 30W adapter, which seems to be fine according to my analysis, before relinquishing the idea of not buying a 20W adapter. Please let me know is it fine to use 30W adapter?

It should be fine. "Fast-charging" your iPhone 17 Pro ("up to 50 percent battery in around 20 minutes") requires a 40W or higher wattage source, but 30W should be fine for regular charging.
The iPhone and the charger will negotiate the voltage to use, and the iPhone will regulate the current that it draws. (Unless there's a lightning strike on your home, in which case no connected electronics is safe from being fried.)

sure you can also get a 300watt adaptor it's the volt which can't be too high
Watt is like how fast your car can drive, but the speed limit is how fast your car do drive
the iphone draw as much current as it was build to use when charging, the fact that a charger can provide a lot more just means it's not having its full capacitive used
