iMac migration: Will old Safari data overwrite new?
I am migrating from iMac (2018, OS Sierra) to new iMac and OS. I ran bitdefender and got 4 Safari problems. When I run the migration will the old Safari overwrite new?

Can you be more specific?
In general, migrating to a new Mac using Migration Assistant will transfer all transferrable Safari data including browsing history, bookmarks, stored passwords... etc.
For reference: Transfer to a new Mac with Migration Assistant - Apple Support. It explains MA in greater detail.
You will definitely want to remove Bitdefender prior to running Migration Assistant. Double and triple-check its thorough, complete, and irrevocable removal. Getting someone else to confirm it would be ideal. If you need help with that please write back. I understand the comment "rule 1 of Macs is don't install junk" may appear to be flippant but it is anything but. It's serious. It's the first step in a well-worn path to misery.
Get rid of "Bitdefender". Rule 1 of Macs is don't install junk.
Follow its uninstallation instructions.
Uninstall it on the older Mac prior to migrating to the new Mac.
Thanks. What about Safari?
