My Book Studio failure after Sequoia 15.8. upgrade.

Hi - I have My Book Studio for using Time Machine back ups which has worked fine for years .....until the Sequoia 15.8 upgrade.

I run a 2018 Apple Mac with 4 thunderbolt ports. Have switched off the Apple firewall but still won't mount.

I have no USB ports - the connection is via the multi hub.

Disc Utility shows no external drives.

Any advice gratefully will be greatly appreciated 😊

Those WD MyBook drives do not last forever.

The Mac ports support both Thunderbolt and USB devices.

Test the WD MyBook plugged into a different Mac or PC.

Bypass the multi hub and test the WD MyBook plugged into the Mac using a USB-A to USB-C adapter.

You're welcome.

If the WD MyBook is caput, replace it and start Time Machine backups on the new external drive.
