Blue Ray drive

Most any blu-ray drive out there will work. Good brands include LG, Verbatim, Asus etc.. There are a ton of no'name chinese drives that may or may not work though.

If you are trying to access already made data blu-rays they should work directly.

If you are trying to play blu-ray movies or burn any type of blu-ray discs you will need extra 3rd party software.

Also, if you are trying to access 4K blu-rays you will need a 4K blu-ray player specifically.

Data discs can be read directly, most any blu-ray drive out there will work for that without any extra software.

If you are trying to read commercial movie blu-rays then you'll need special playback software, but again any blu-ray drive out there will work on a Mac.

Then yes, any CD drive out there will work for CDs.

Any blu-ray drive out there will work for blu-ray movies but as said you will need blu-ray playback software to play movies from blu-ray discs.
