Apple earpods harmoniousness

Are Apple EarPods compatible with the Redmi 12 Pro, and do the volume up/down buttons work on it?

Yes and yes, although it seems that this phone only accepts audio input natively through its 3.5mm audio jack, not through the USB-C port. Apple does still sell EarPods with the 3.5mm connector.

My earpods (with the one that connects with 3.5mm audio jack) work like perfect but the volume keys are not (I can pause the song btw.) Does that mean there's a problem with my earpods? or does that mean it's incompatible?

Upon further research it appears that the EarPod volume controls are not compatible with Android devices. My apologies for the initial confusion.
