I am not quite sure where we are with trying to reclaim the monies from the Plantiary App. I believe there are 6 payments of £6.99 each.
Do I assume that they are not going to reimburse me for these?
At no time did I get any notification from this company that they were going to make a weekly charge which absolutely ridiculous!
This seems to be taking advantage of the elderly who are not so 'computer savvy'.
Your comments or help would be appreciated.
Who billed you? Apple? Or the vendor directly?
If the vendor billed you directly — not via Apple — then you will want and need to request assistance from the vendor directly, and should that resolution fail, contest the charges with your bank.
If Apple billed you for a subscription (and not the vendor directly) Cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support and can then request a refund Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support
But again, who you cancel with and who you can request s refund from depends on who billed you; billed by the app vendor, or billed for a subscription by Apple.
Unrelated to the subscriptions and billing… If you have an iPhone, and are in a country or region with support, Apple includes Visual Intelligence for identifying (guessing) at plant names:
Hi, you haven’t explained how Apple’s involved or what issue is confronting you. I think your best path forward will be to partner with Apple Support and work together for a solution.
If you’re in the US, please call 1-800-MY-APPLE, or outside the US, consult the support articles below. In Canada, call 1-800-263-3394.

Did you receive some kind of email/message saying you had made a purchase at an Apple Store and were given a number to call. If so, that is most likely a scam message wanting you to call to give them your personal information to compromise your accounts.
I would recommend creating a new post with the details instead of replying to post that may have nothing to do with your issue. That way both of your issues can be addressed independently without having to hijack another users question where they are looking for an answer with their issue.
Did you submit a refund request to Apple?
You said you have a case number. Exactly what is the case for? Please do not post the number again. This is a public community. Do not post personal or financial information.

Thank you, Ann Harrison
I looked up the Plantiary site and app on my iPhone. Nowhere in the app description does it mention subscription services. They are all one-time purchases.
Checking the app's reviews, being dropped into a non-existent subscription is a common complaint. And how can a "Free Premium" option cost $4.99? Is someone at the Plantiary confused about the meaning of the word free?
Plantiary's site says to stop subscription charges, you need to cancel the non-existent subscription:
And on the same page, they excuse themselves from any refunds for a subscription you neither started, or asked for:
Plantiary does not have the ability to issue refunds for app store purchases.
Underhanded practices like this by many third-party vendors are why I purchase almost nothing from the App Store.
Hi, this is in regard to your Apple Card Mastercard issued by Goldman Sachs Bank, is that correct? If not, what is this in regard to?
