Connecting Logi Combo Touch Keyboard to iPad by Sliding

I have seen many notes about the Logi Combo Toiuch for iPad and connections not happening correctly. Quite by accident and a note I saw elsewhere, is the way you need to make the connection. I’ve had the same experience until I followed this connection process: With the keyboard flat on a table, take the screen part and starting on the right side of the connection slot, slide it to the left until the screen and keyboard line up. That means the connection contacts slide across from right to left. This has worked every time. I dropped my iPad, and the keyboard came off. Just snapping it together didn’t work. Sliding it across as indicated above worked. I took the pieces apart and did that again. It works.
