How does Apple Calendar know my appointment details without confirmation?

I just made an in person appointment at a new hairdresser. When going to add the new appointment to my apple phone, the app automatically inserted the correct date and time. How does it know? This disturbs and angers me with regards to my privacy. It’s almost like it is listening to me. No confirmation texts or emails were sent.
