Predictive Text is greyed out and cannot be turned off. How can this be fixed?

Predictive Text is turned on and greyed out.

I have looked at other similar threads from searches: I have Siri and other smart/AI/surveillance features turned off, and have gone through accessibility and keyboard settings to see if something else is in control of this setting but nothing seems to work.

My phone is on my dad’s business account, are there settings on their end that need to be adjusted (please explain where!) to allow for me to turn off more of these features?

And that.....is the problem.

The IT folks at your dad's employer have set up what is known as an MDM Profile on the iPhone to restrict actions on the iPhone.

The IT folks are the only people who can remove the profile and the restrictions, so your dad will need to get in touch with the IT people who set up the phone.

Your next question will likely be whether there is any way to get around this. The answer is "no". Sorry for the hassle, but things like this happen when you are trying to use someone else's phone.

If your device is managed by a company or there is a profile installed, only the people who managed your device can make changes in the settings.

I have the same issue and I am not on somebody else's phone. This is my iPhone 17 with current iOS. So I don't think the OP's question was actually answered. Could the OP and I both have answers that are probably correct instead of the snide sort of comments I

see here?
