I recently opened an old logic file from 2014. One of the tracks is called "Electro BD" and I know it will have been one of the pre-made sounds in that old version of logic. However it says that that sound cannot be found. I installed everything in sound library and it still can't be found. Can anyone shed any light on this or advice how to recover that exact sound? Thanks.

Well, a LOT has changed in those 12 years. The sound library has updated quite a few times. Some sounds have been updated, others simply dropped. At the very bottom of the Sound Library Manager window, there's Logic Pro Legacy Instruments / Loops / Patches. Plus a Logic Pro 10 pack. Be sure they're installed. If it's still missing, it's probably been dropped.
Unless you can find someone who has a copy, and knows where to copy it to. I've searched my copy of logic, and I can't find it. It must have been dropped.
I don't want to stop you from asking Steve Jobs' descendants about the missing kick drum sample. But isn't it much easier to just load up an 808 kick drum sample, which is the most clichéd Electro-style BD sample of all?
Thanks a lot Ben. Yes I installed the legacy ones too. But still not found. If its been dropped, does that mean there's no way to get that sound back?
Thanks for checking Ben. I'm gonna keep persevering. I wish I'd just bounced everything to audio! Do you think there would be any milage in contacting apple about it?
