I'm having trouble getting my slides in keynote to transition. I have an avatar video on each slide that I have trimmed to the exact timing that the slide should change but what is happening is the video plays then stops on the slide and the slide does not change. I've been on a wild goose chase with AI for days now so I've done all the steps, I need to know exactly what to do and not trouble shoot as AI is doing.

You haven't described the setup, so it's likely that any suggestions are going to overlap with what you've already tried.
The biggest question, of course, is how the transition is set between the slides - it should be set to run Automatically with a time delay that matches your video.
You should also check the Inspector for your video to make sure it's set to autoplay (it doesn't need a click to start), and check any Build In or Build Out actions, since these can affect playback timing.
Any more than that and we'll need more info, especially screenshots of the various inspector panels as described above.
