Changing iPhone Duo pre-order payment method for interest-free financing

Hey guys,

Sorry for the lengthy post, please stick with me!... Im looking at getting an iPhone Duo and here in New Zealand the preorder goes live at 1am on the 17th. Now at 1am, phone lines are closed to you can order through the website/Apple Store only. In New Zealand you can purchase with Latitude Finance using you Gem Visa card and get 24 mths interest free...but to do this, you have to order via phone and speak to a customer services person. Since they won't be open at 1am, im wondering, can I... 'Buy' the Duo using my Gem Visa card, at which point Apple processes my order, puts a hold on the funds on my card (and charges me when the order ships)... then, I ring Apple once phone lines are open and get them to process the 24 mths interest free without having to cancel my order and lose my place in the order process? Anyone done something similar, or changed payment methods after ordering?... Ive spoke with customer services and been told 'yes' it can be done, and 'no' it cant, so a little confused. Thanks in advance for any help!
