system shutdown and glitches

Hi guys, I am an owner of MacBook Pro 14-inch M3 (macOS 27 golden gate 27.0). it's been about 3/4 days now. my MacBook keeps shutting down on its own and sometimes it even glitches. the screen goes on and off and I loose my mouse cursor. I thought it could be due to chrome because I downloaded through the internet.... or probably Vlc media player. I have deleted the third Party apps now... shut down and restarted the MacBook again... it's not as worse as before but the blackout screen still happens sometimes. any idea what the issue might be ?

Backup with Time Machine or 3rd party apps like Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper.

Then in System Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Erase all Content and Settings... so the Mac is reset to factory settings. Do NOT restore any old backups or install any 3rd party apps or peripherals just yet.

Then use the Mac and see if it now works correctly. If not, return it.

If it works, Restore only user data files with Migration Assistant or manually from the backups. Then one-by-one install known-good and really needed 3rd party apps and add-ons and peripherals and see if some of them might cause those glitches.

Welcome and thank you for reaching out. šŸ¤—

If you have any antivirus software installed, then remove it A.S.A.P. as they interfere with the system operations and performance.

If you don’t have anything like that installed, then try the following:

First, let’s see if this issue happens in Safe Mode:

  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Press and hold the power button on your Mac. As you continue to hold the power button, your Mac turns on and loads startup options. When you see Options, release the power button.
  3. Select your startup disk. It's named Macintosh HD, unless you changed its name.
  4. Press and hold the Shift key, then click the ā€œContinue in Safe Modeā€ button below your startup disk.
  5. Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again.

If the strange behaviors do not occur, then it may possibly be a software issue.

If the issue doesn't continue in safe mode:

Leave safe mode by restarting your Mac normally, then try to reproduce the issue.

If the issue doesn't return, it might have been resolved by the other things that safe mode did at startup, such as checking your disk and clearing caches.

If the problem persists, then let’s try this:
