Hello. I have an iPhone 11, model A2111. It shows “SIM Lock” and says the device may be restricted to the original network provider. I don’t know the original carrier. Can you help me identify the carrier or tell me how I can get the device unlocked?

You bought a used iPhone 11, correct?

Ask the seller what carrier they were using.

Or, tap Settings > General > About and look for information near Physical SIM to see if the Network or Carrier name is displayed there.

If you can find out what carrier the phone is locked to, you will need to contact the carrier to ask them to unlock the phone.

Unfortunately, the carrier will not do this if the previous owner was not up to date on their payments, or if the phone was reported lost or stolen by the owner.

If this is the case, all that you can do is contact the seller and ask for your money back. Unfortunately, in most cases like this, the seller has disappeared.

No we can't identify the original carrier. We are ALL users like you on this user to user only forum.

If you know the IMEI, you can try this --> https://www.imei.info/

But if Bob Timmons is correct that you bought a used iPhone from someone, the carrier may not be willing to unlock the phone if you're not their customer.

Your fellow Apple users on this forum don't know which carrier that phone is locked to, and cannot remove the lock. Nor would it make any difference if you contacted Apple.

"Apple can't unlock your iPhone for use with a different carrier. Only your current carrier can unlock your iPhone."

If the phone isn't telling you which carrier it is locked to, you can't guess, and you "I don't know who has seller", it's going to remain locked to that carrier.
