No Touch ID after injuring finger

I had both left and right thumbs saved in my iPhone SE (iOS 27.1). After a bad cut on one thumb healed, it was no longer recognized, so I tried to start from scratch and rescan both thumbs. I first deleted Finger 1, which unfortunately turned out to be my good one. Now I can’t add a new finger, delete Finger 2, or turn off Stolen Device Protection. How should I proceed?

" .... Now I can’t add a new finger, delete Finger 2 ..."

Have you tried re-starting the Phone ... ie : often restores order if something is not working as expected.

If needed: See how to:Restart your iPhone – Apple Support

Wondering if Apple Support's iOS 27 articles (links below) can help.

You may want to browse through Apple support's tips:

About Stolen Device Protection for iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says: "If you try to turn off Stolen Device Protection when you’re not in a familiar location, a security delay starts before you can turn it off."
