Unable to check for update

I want to update my iPhone X software to iOS 17 but it’s unable to check for update an error occurred while checking for a software update

The iPhone X is not compatible with iOS 17.

Even if it was.....(it's not).....iOS 17 is discontinued and no longer available.

The best that the iPhone X can do is iOS 16.7.16. That is about 3 years behind the curve.

Open Settings ➢ General ➢ Software Update.

If you get the message; "iOS is up to date", then your iPhone has reached the end-of-life support for Software Updates to the latest iOS operating system, depriving you of new features created many years ago.

Many modern apps are not compatible, limiting the usability of your device.

Your available options:

Your iPhone X is eligible for a trade-in, worth up to $50 if it’s in good condition.
