How do I remove Apple gift card funds from Google Wallet and use them as intended?

I bought an Apple gift card from Apple.

, I downloaded to my Google wallet on my laptop, a pop up from Google, Redeem, and I clicked on it not rally understanding what I had done, thinking that I was just downloading it to my regular wallet, when I removed it that the funds were still on there, not realizing that by redeeming it I had agreed to spend it on Google products, which is not what I bought the card in the first place, thinking that the google wallet was like a regular wallet for keeping money. not locking it into a specific vendor. Is there anything I can do to remove it from Google wallet and get the funds back to use as I want to?

While I can’t comment on what did or didn’t happen with your Google Wallet …

… but when an Apple Gift Card is purchased, the funds immediately go to Apple’s bank account. Period.

I have a tough time seeing how those funds could possibly be used for anything other than redemption for Apple goods and services. (even if the value IS being displayed in another wallet provider’s wallet)

when apple gift cards are purchased they can be forwarded to a service company for services, not Apple products, a lot of service type companies redeem them and Apple will pay them cash with a service fee deducted

Not sure how that even works, though it is reminiscent of grey market, money laundering, and scamming.

Apple indicates only purchases from Apple: Legal - iTunes Gift Cards and Codes - Apple
