Itunes Keeps Changing Tracks Album Name To One Particular Unrelated Album!!!
OK, I am using the most recent itunes/Apple Music on Tahoe 26.6.2. I Use it on my Apple Macbook Pro. Now I absolutely HATE the current version of itunes/Apple Music which I believe changed during the upgrade from Sequoia to Tahoe about a year ago, so much so I have left Sequoia on my other Apple device, my Mac Studio. But that's another story...
The problem I am now having (one of many with the current version of itunes/Apple Music) is that sometimes when I click on a track to play it in my music library, itunes/Apple Music instantly changes the tracks album title to 'The Adventures Of Shindig'. It doesn't matter if its an Apple download, a Beatport download, a Bandcamp download or a CD Rip, it just changes the tracks album title to 'The Adventures Of Shindig'. That particular album was one I ripped from CD several months ago and then deleted it soon after so that album is no longer in my music library and has no relation whatsoever to the particular track I'm clicking to play.
This has only been a recent thing, probably the last 6 weeks but its really doing my head in now. Sometimes when I'm scrolling through tracks I notice the album title has been changed to said album & I have to go into the info to change it back. I Have a lot of songs in my music library, I'm guessing 25,000 at least. I Know that on older versions of itunes you could reset its memory, that is all the stored track names and album names that itunes/Apple Music suggest as your typing are erased and only start again when you have added more tracks and albums etc to the library.
Also another problem, when making playlists some of them won't add the four album collage as the playlist cover, they have that horrible 1990s style graphic, yet other times it uses the first 4 album sleeves as the cover? VERY ANNOYING as for the previous past 25 years the first four playlist album playlist cover was added instantly!!! Does anyone know how to permanently set itunes/Apple Music to use the first 4 album covers as the playlist cover? I Have previously used the 'dupelecut playlist' trick but that causes no end of other problems!!!
Thank in advance...
