On my iMac, currently update with Ventura 13.7.8 , where are my podcast files now???? They used to be in a library cache, but that cache has disappeared. I like to offload my favorites into my external hdd and now I can’t find them.
iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 13.7
They're still on the Mac, Podcasts just keeps them somewhere else now. In Finder press Shift-Command-G, paste this and press Return:
~/Library/Group Containers/243LU875E5.groups.com.apple.podcasts/Library/Cache
The episodes are in there, but under long code names like 980B42A0-3BE7-….mp3 instead of the show titles, which is why they're so hard to spot. Switch to list view and sort by Date Modified so the newest downloads are at the top, and tap the space bar on one to hear a few seconds before copying it to the external drive. Rename the copy on the drive rather than the file in that folder, so Podcasts doesn't lose track of it.

Dmitry, it worked! Oh I can’t thank you enough. This is absolutely priceless to me. I have a very dear friend who has a podcast and I like to copy the files to my external hdd so I can keep them forever. Thank you so very much for your time and your help with this. It means the world to me.
Best regards,
