Spelling check not underlining words with non-English keyboards

Check spelling does not underline words when keyboard is not in English. It was working before. Any ideas? Dictionary was already reset.

If Check Spelling does not underline misspelled words when you are using a keyboard in a language other than English, it generally indicates that the selected keyboard language is not supported or is not properly integrated with the system’s Keyboard Dictionary.

The spelling checker relies on a language-specific dictionary to identify and flag misspelled words. If a particular keyboard or language does not have a corresponding dictionary available, iOS may not be able to check the spelling—even though Check Spelling is enabled.

In other words, the problem may not be with the Check Spelling setting itself. The limitation is more likely related to language/dictionary support for that keyboard. Switching temporarily to English can help confirm this: if misspelled English words are underlined while the other language produces no spelling suggestions or underlines, it strongly suggests that the dictionary for that language is unavailable or unsupported.
