How do I go back to using a physical transit card, after I added it to Apple Wallet?

There are plenty of instructions on how to go FROM card to the phone/watch wallet, but I can't find any instructions on how to reverse the process.

The reason I want to do this is that my transit card is missing the "move to iPhone" button in wallet, so I would like to remove it completely from the apple ecosystem, and the re-add from the physical card. But I can't find any instructions on how to do that.

You’ll have to discuss this with the customer service department of your transit agency.

They will need to remove any stored fare balance from your in-wallet card and credit it back onto a physical card.
