Call Kit creating a privacy/hot mic concern with meetings such as Google Meet (for work)
Why can't I disable Call Kit when I use Google Meet? When I touch the side button it brings up Call Kit. This creates a situation where I can very easily unmute my call with zero notification it happened. Why can't I disable Call Kit on a per app basis at least? I would have to jump through hoops and turn off raise to wake and other things to be sure I'm not unmuted, which is crazy. Also, there is no notification I have been unmuted. Whoever designed this; it's a big miss. You should allow people to lock their screens with Call Kit active or disable Call Kit from being invoked. You're creating a privacy risk by having the call be able to be very easily unmuted without the user knowing (e.g. phone in pocket). This happened to me in the store and it's very embarrassing. It's ridiculous that your Call Kit makes me have to change all my settings or use a wired headset due to the oversight of its design. Can you please fix this? It feels very 1990s, and users should not have to change 5 features to disable screen wakes or get different hardware to fix the problem you're creating. Are there plans to fix this? It's really bad and a privacy concern. I get unmuted very easily, I can't stop it, and I am not notified that it happened other than a screen visual. If my phone is in my pocket, I can have a hot mic and not even know it. This is crazy. Help.
