Apple's online order system is usually pretty accurate. There's no guarantee, but you can expect your order to deliver in the time frame shown in the order. Your order will remain in Processing until the moment it is Preparing to Ship, which will coincide with your payment method being charged. Then it will fairly quickly change to shipped and you'll receive a tracking confirmation email from Apple, so you can track the delivery.

Less than three weeks? Yeah, probably accurate. Apple’s pretty good at logistics, after all.

I did have a three month estimate turn into three weeks, though.

Apple will bill the payment card when they ship, so that’ll usually be the earliest notice of impending arrival.
