Text application missing on iPhone after 27.0.1?

The Messages app cannot be deleted.

It may have gotten deleted from the Home Screen. Swipe all the way past the last Home Screen to the App Library. Tap in the search bar and look for Messages.

Another possibility is that the phone has Screen Time Restrictions turned on. Is your phone being managed by a parent or guardian? If so, consult with them. If not, go to Settings>Screen Time>Content & Privacy Resetrictions and see if anything is restricted.

Do a search.

Swipe to the last page of your home screen to app library, look for it there.

You should be able to move it from there too.
