Final Cut Pro 'Reveal in Finder' inactive for external drive transfer

I have a M4 iMac with Golden Gate 27.0.1 OS. When running Final Cut Pro and wanting to transfer a project library that includes video photos and music to an external flash drive, the "reveal in Finder" option is not active, even though I know that the flash drive is recognized by the computer. How can I make it active?

It’s a bit unclear where you’d use Reveal in Finder. Have you already transferred your library to that drive and are trying to access individual media files with Reveal in Finder? Or something else entirely?

Two things to note:

1) If by “flash drive” you mean a pen or thumb drive, they are usually not adequate for editing (though they work ok for transferring ot copying)

2) Final Cut Pro needs to be granted “Full Disk Access” - if not, it might be why you can’t find stuff.
