How to fix disappearing forward pages in Books on iPhone?

Books suddenly seems to lose all forward pages from the page I’m on. Only solution is to close book and re-open. This started happening about 7-10 days ago, never happened before.

I see there was a similar issue back in 2021, never got any solutions posted and now closed. hence me starting this one.

Any ideas how to solve this issue?
