Cannot delete old primary address from Wallet and Apple Pay on MacBook Neo

Cannot delete a password from Wallet and Apple Pay on Mac OS27.

MacBook Neo with Touch ID

In Settings>Wallet and Apple Pay, an old primary address is listed. That address is no longer even connected to my account. There is not another place in Contacts on the MacBook or anywhere on iCloud that lists that email. Contacts are synched with iCloud and are almost identical on my iPhone 16e - which doesn't have the old primary address either, anywhere.... (They are not presented as identical...because on the MacBook, contacts does not have a 'me' card in the list of contacts)

The old primary address is nowhere to be found on the iPhone either...not in the account card, not in sign in and security, not in payment...nowhere.

How can I delete that old email / remove it from the list of emails on the MacBook?

My understanding is that the list cannot be edited on your MacBook Neo. The list can be edited on your iPhone and the devices will sync over time. Apple is not specific on a time frame required.

On your iPhone please follow this path,

iPhone > Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Apple Pay Defaults > email > Edit > delete any email address you do not want to appear in your MacBook list of addresses

Syncing with iCloud generally happens at night. When you go to bed, plug your iPhone into a charger, connect your iPhone to WiFi and lock the screen. Your addresses should sync within a week.

Have you logged into your Apple Account online and tried editing/deleting older emails?

I’m confused. Your first sentence says you cannot delete a password from your Wallet app.

Is that correct? Apple Pay doesn’t have a password.

I’m confused about what you’re actually experiencing. Please provide more details explaining my areas of confusion.

Thank you, here’s more detail.

On the MacBook Neo: System Settings (app) Scroll down the sidebar on the left to>Wallet and Apple Pay. Then in the Shipping Address section is my correct physical address. Immediately below that ‘Email’ with a selection list. In that list (but I’ve not selected it) is my old ‘primary’ email address. I want to delete it. It’s not associated with my Apple account anymore or in any way.

Yes I have logged into my Apple Account online. The address is not found anywhere.

Why does the old/alternate email need to be deleted? How is it interfering with your Apple Wallet and Apple Pay?

Dear Jeff.

It doesn't interfere with it. I just want to delete it.

I don't want to be able to accidentally choose it in the selection list.

Thanks for the update! That’s great news and I’m pleasantly surprised it synced so quickly. I didn’t expect 7 days, but I have seen delays in iCloud syncing take a few days.
