as everyone knows there's a new version of pages. When I try to delete the old version of pages by dropping it in trash, that doesn't work. What will work? I'm running a MacBook Air and Golden Gate.

Dragging it to the trash is the way to do it.
Make sure the Pages app is compelely shut down before trying to drag it to the trash.
If you get an error when dragging it to the trash please tell us what it says.

thanks. actually, the app was open so it would not go to Trash and it would not close. So I opened the new version and that allowed me to delete the old version. thanks again.
It would have been useful to confirm that the older Pages version's Template Chooser > My Templates were all found in the new Pages My Templates. If not, all is not lost yet, even though you deleted the old Pages version.
