HitFilm’s effects collection was also sold as Ignite Pro / Ignite Express, so look for HitFilm, Ignite, or FXhome when identifying its files. FXhome documentation

To remove it from Final Cut Pro:

  1. Quit Final Cut Pro and Motion.
  2. In Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder (Shift–Command–G), and check these locations individually:
/Library/Plug-Ins/FxPlug/
~/Library/Plug-Ins/FxPlug/
/Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins/
  1. Move only files or folders clearly belonging to HitFilm/Ignite/FXhome into a temporary folder on your Desktop. Keep them there until you’ve confirmed removal worked.
  2. Check Movies → Motion Templates in your home folder, including Effects, Generators, Titles, and Transitions, for associated templates.
  3. Reopen Final Cut Pro and check the effects browser.

These locations and the approach of moving plugins out are documented in Apple’s plugin-removal instructions. Don’t remove the entire FxPlug or Motion Templates folders—they may contain your other plugins.
