Sharing passwords is entirely optional.

Each person gets to choose what passwords are shared, it's not an automatic setting and its not enabled on its own. If there are shared passwords somebody had to manually share them.

Shared passwords will appear in the Famly Passwords or other created shared groups at the bottom of the Passwords app.

If you don't want to share a password, select the password entry, tap on the share icon at the top then on Move To Group and then on Stop Sharing.

No one has chosen to share their passwords. In fact, there is no “shared passwords”. That option has not been set up (still says “Get Started” on the Share Passwords with Family). Yet all of our accounts and passwords are listed in the All area. And there is no share icon to click on in order to stop sharing.

If there are no passwords in the Shared Group section, thewn nothing is being shared.

The All seciton will simply show all passwords stored in the passwords app for that specific Apple account that is logged in to the device.

If there are passwords belonging to someone else there then someone had to add them to the paswords app manually.

Nothing is being shared automatically, anything in that section has to have been addced by a person to the passwords app locally.

"All" is just the entire listing of passwords from the other sectons there. But they are all local to the Apple account being used. There is no sharing happening just because they apear in the all section.

Are you by any chance sharing an Apple account?

We have one account that is tied to payments for apps but we are all signed into our separate accounts.

If you’re saying the All list is just a list and none of us can actually access those accounts, I guess I’m fine with that. Just seems weird that when I try to log in to an account and see my husband’s info auto populated instead of mine. Forces me to type in my full account and password in again.
