I belong to a small group of amateur astronomers, and we exchange group texts fairly often. I receive the texts, a mix of iPhone and Android, on my 2024 iPad Pro 11-inch and on my iPhone and on my Macs, but I don't receive the texts on my brand new iPad 13-inch. Ideas appreciated!

Did you set this up to include the new ipad? Forward text messages from your iPhone to other devices - Apple Support

Sounds like that’s the answer. Forward to the M5 iPad was not turned on. (I don’t know how the the 11- inch iPad and the Max got turned on, because I never heard of this setting before.)
Now I’ll just have to wait and see what happens the next time there’s a group text. Thank you so much for your assistance.

You're welcome.
Yes, you fixed it for me, so thanks again! One thing I don’t understand— other texts were coming through to the M5 iPad. Only the group texts were not making it through. Never mind. It’s all good.
