Can I use a Smart Folio iPad Pro 11in (M5) on an iPad Air 11in (M4)? Official compatibility is no but as long as the magnets work, I'm OK with it. Size is marginally different (+2mm on the long dimension and -0.8 mm on the short dimension), again I'm OK with that.

The holding magnets are only part of the equation. The Smart Connector, that electrically connects the folio keyboard to the iPad, also varies in physical position. The cutout that accommodates the rear camera module also differs.
The Apple Smart Folio Keyboard for the iPad Pro 11" is not compatible with the iPad Air 11" M4.
