Accessibility/iPhone 15 Pro fails to detect custom sounds for Sound Recognition setup
I am trying to set up a Custom Appliance or Doorbell in "Settings/Accessibility/Sound & Name Recognition" on an iPhone 15 Pro using IOS 27.0.1. I have six preprogrammed sounds selected and they all work correctly including the notifications.
When I start to set up the custom sound & select the "Start Listening" button, the iPhone's microphone "hears" the custom sound based on the sound spectrum that appears while the custom sound is running. However, the sound is never detected (dots/circles change color) and the iPhone just continues to listen until a message "An appliance sound has not been detected".
The iPhone is supposed to detect this custom sound five times and you save the sound each time in order to finalize saving the custom sound.
I tried this on an iPad and it seems to work fine. Each of the five dots/circles that appear on the screen while listening for the custom sound will turn blue each time the sound is heard. These dots never turn blue on the iPhone for some reason since the iPhone does not hear the custom sound.
Does anyone else have this same issue or can replicate this?
Thanks in advance for any assistance or responses!
