Speak screen audio ducking bugged

I'm on the iPhone 17, iOS 27. I've noticed a bug where, after using speak screen, all media volume is significantly lower than before. Before, audio would be dampened temporarily during speak screen use to make the spoken text more audible, and the audio would return. However, after the iOS 27 update, the audio doesn't return and stays quiet. The only fix I've seen is to make a call (maybe because using the microphone in this way also interacts with audio ducking and resets it). Can anyone help?

As you suspect it is a software bug causing the issue, you might want to let those who work on the software behind-the-scenes at Apple know about it. Altough they will likely not reply. and it won't help you immediately, all feedback is carefully read and logged, and if others have a similar issue we may see it addressed in a future iOS update.

You could provide a link to your discussion thread here, if you want. (ie: Apple is unlikely to see it otherwise).
