Can't buy music on itouch.

While there are currently no issues with the iTunes store service reported at this time by Apple, that sounds like it's having an issue connecting to it to validate your account and perform the purchase. iOS 12 is one of the oldest iOS versions that can still access the iTunes store services, so its not unlikely it may start to have issues connecting.

I would give it a while before trying again. If it still won't work, you may need to contact Apple Suport directly.

What exactly happens when you try to buy something?

Are you using account balance or another payment method like a credit card?

If you get a specific error message, what does it say?

Make sure the date and time are correctly set on your iPod.

Try a different Wi-Fi network if possible.
