Fast User Switching fixes AirDrop discovery on Apple-silicon Macs

I had an unusual AirDrop problem on a couple Apple-silicon Macs. Both were on the same Wi-Fi network with Bluetooth enabled, and AirDrop was set to Everyone. The Macs could discover my iPhone, but neither Mac could discover each other, nor could the iPhone discover the macs.

After resetting different system services and testing all kinds of settings, nothing seemed to work until I used Fast User Switching without logging out of the primary account. After switching to another user on the same Mac, opening AirDrop, and setting the visibility to "Everyone", both user accounts on the Mac then became discoverable to the other devices. The fix persisted after I logged out of the second account, and reset Finder.

Has anyone else encountered this? I'm curious whether activating AirDrop in a second user session refreshes a shared macOS discovery service. I hope this solution helps.
