Newly created mailbox not appearing in Mail

I have created a mailbox and moved the relevant mails which I wish to archive. However, the new mailbox is no where to be found. Of course I have named the mailbox. I have recently moved from another mail provider so I'm learning to use Mail. I'm used to naming a folder which I wish to retain in the other mail programme.
