QuickTime Player 10.5: Video splitting and Done button issues

QuickTime Player 10.5 has several bugs since upgrading to Mac OS 27. The ability to split a video more than once is inconsistent. Sometimes I can, most times I can't without moving the slider back and forth. A nuisance time waster.

After finishing a video, the "Done" button doesn't work. I have close the project and reopen it. Yet another nuisance and time waster.

These are just the bugs I've discovered thus far.

Yes. The thread below discusses a similar issue. I miss the old QuickTime Player 7 Pro (works up to macOS 10.14 Mojave but Pro licenses are no longer sold) which was quite robust and had many useful options unlike the later dumbed down versions.

All you can do is try to find a more reliable workflow or app, and feedback to Apple about this:
